I also failed the test when going through the MSF program over here in the states. The training takes place of just over 2 days, Friday evening is more/less introduction, book learning, videos, etc... Saturday they split you into 2 different groups, one group stays inside for more learning for about 1/2 the day while the others are outside learning the fundamentals of the bikes, at some point the groups trade places. On Sunday there was some warm up training but it's mostly made up of the written and riding portion of the tests, if you pass the course they give you a card that you can take to the DMV and receive your license. At the beginning they stressed how someone typically ends up failing the course which I ended up being part of the statistics. I remember how they talked about the most issues they have is with riders coming from off-road and that everything happens a lot faster on the pavement, riding off-road everything is so much easier and forgiving. During one of the final riding tests I had to ride up to a certain speed and then stop inside of a box, I ended up using too much front brake and laid the bike down, it really wasn't that bad and basically just fell off to the side when it stopped but because the bike went down they had to fail me. I ended up being able to go back though 2 weeks later and they placed me onto a different bike. Honestly the worst of it was that it hurt my pride but also cost me another $100 to go through it all over again. I have anxiety issues when I am stressed out expecially right before a big test which is very common for people. As the old saying goes they didn't build Rome in a day so keep trying.

I know this a bit outdated now but would like to blow the trumpet for my Honda CB1100EX. It looks great, it rides even better and is so flexible from tootling along a winding back road to a 1000kms trip in perfect comfort. Best bike I have ever owned. 61 years old and 47th steed. And probably my last. It will go to my son when I'm gone. ❤❤

I saw two adverts for my old bike using my sale photographs and in locations that did not match the person I sold too. You have to be careful and perhaps ask the seller for a verifiable updated video or photograph. Both of these fae sellers wanted me to re enquire using another social media.

Tony! A friend of mine cut his long hair( ponytail) off and found his helmet was too big for him after the haircut. So much so he had to buy a new helmet because his old one moved around on his head to much. Maybe your covid hair could be the problem. Haircuts are cheaper than a new helmet.

So four weeks ago my son and I rode from Plymouth to Dartmouth. We parked in a car space and left plenty of room. After returning from coffee and bacon rolls, another bike stopped and asked if our two bikes were parked along the road. Yes why we asked. A guy just reversed into both of them knocking them over. We ran back and they had just been picked up by him. At least he was still there and admitted liability. James' Ducati Monster 937 will cost £3500 to repair. My Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory needs £7500 in parts and is a total loss. We have CB1000Rs as loan bikes charged to 3rd party's insurance at £318 each per day. I'm waiting for the independent engineers report before getting my layout offer. I was seriously considering giving up but my wife said to get another bike. I've had my licence since 2001 and had many bikes including 2 Sprint RS 955s, Dayona 600, Daytona 675 and a Trident 660. I considered the new Daytona 660 and Street Triple RS, 2024 MT09 amongst others but settled on a black Tiger Sport 660 which I'm picking up Monday.

With this in mind, this evening I was on FB market place and saw exactly what you meant, I had been looking for a particular bike and this came up in my feed, I had no idea of this bike but I clicked on it (a yamaha xvs 950 bolt 2014) and the guys description was so well detailed and passion. So I now know what you mean. Psi had never heard of this bike and was very impressed. 😎

Freddie, I learned to ride in the early 80s and remember the Used Motorcycle Guide fondly -- it really was a different world. For example, at 18 years old, I bought my first bike from a dealer (a nearly new red Honda twin CB125 Superdream), leaned the basics from the salesman on the carpark out the back and then rode off into the sunset, nearly rear-ending a bus 100 yards down the road. I'd never even sat on a motorbike before that...

Took me three goes on my big bike tests. Pesky mod 1! But I was never going to give up, and passing the big bike tests on the third attempt was the best feeling in the world. Biking for me is not just a happier commute to the office, but a freedom like no other on weekends and evenings. Anyone having doubts, stick at it, it is more than worth persevering with!

Wore an Arai for ten years. Despite being really happy I went for a Shoei that was on offer. Felt great in the shop but after 40 minutes I had a headache that wouldn’t quit for 24 hours. Sold it on eBay at a loss and bought a new Arai. Lesson learned although other people with different shaped heads will have the opposite experience.

Hi from Sheffield two guys locally have got Rune's. One has got 'five' and the other has got one. The guy who's got one... his bike is the best of the six. He's owned his Rune from new and its got under a 1,000 miles on the clock. Both of these individuals very rarely ride their Rune's. They do ride them but but only around once a year for each bike to bike nights etc..... They both own multiple bikes and so are not stuck for choice.

Like the Scram rider, my best touring experience was coming back from Andorra on an airhead BMW GS1200 with a failing clutch.....couldn't accelerate much and had to use smaller, slower roads back to Roscoff. A much more relaxed and scenic trip full of little coffee shops and lunches. If the bike was good, the trip would have been the usual, stressy slog up the motorway with dumbed down cuisine and scenery. So plan a bit tour on a "slow" bike and experience more life...great vlogs by the way...p.s. used to pinch my dads Cz250 as a kid...still got a scar on my shin from the weird kickstart/gearchange lever😸🏍️💨💨💨👍

On fbook Mileage is often one or two decimal points out ask because people just can’t read their own speedometers no photo no go , some scammers are very clever don’t give deposits for large items ever!, never leave home without knowing where you are in the que people just sell without removing the listings even if you’ve arranged a time to go ..
